bad karma
a few of my friends have asked me about the tall redhead. i'll admit that i haven't blogged that date yet because it was too sad. let's call him bad karma (coming back to bite me in the ass).
i meet bad karma near what will be my new neighbourhood in a couple months (he is offering to take me to a cool hangout in the new hood). i am first struck by butterflies (ha! they do exist, shifty eyes) because for the first time i'm actually immediately attracted to a match date. we have coffee and easy conversation for the next 2 and a half hours. he's not totally ginger (for my british friends out there), he has brown hair with a reddish tint. and he has amazing blue-green eyes. on leaving the date, i tell him that i would really like to see him again. he mirrors the sentiment, or so he says.
i receive the official rejection a week later. he says that he is seeing someone else from match and that relationship is moving from casual to serious. he also says "i'm sure someone as interesting and attractive as you will have no problem finding love in your new neighbourhood." very sweet, though i don't know if he is just a nice, polite boy whose mother taught him to let girls down easy.
so he shall be dubbed bad karma. i think he may just be nature's revenge on me for rejecting so many dates. and i'm mad at nature for it.
